MPP PhD student Jamie Catalano was recently awarded a Graduate Award in Brain Science by the Robert J. And Nancy D. Carney Institute for Brain Science. This one-year award is supported by the Robin Chemers Neustein ’75 Graduate Fellowship Fund and the Charles A. Dana Graduate Fellowship Fund. As part of this award, Jamie will be developing a novel Drosophila model for opioid abuse, and investigating the molecular basis of fentanyl induced anti-nociceptive response in the Drosophila brain.
